Call me Ishmael.
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times …
It is a truth, universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune,
must be in want of a wife.
To this list of great opening lines we can now add:
"It's just bird poo!"
I take it you've come here to have a preview of Knights in the Gardens of Spayne,
the hilarious book about a rubbish football team and their unlikely burst of fame?
Parts one and two are finished in first draft, probably-to-be-very-edited form now,
and you're welcome to have a butcher's.
So how do you want it?
You can click here to read or copy it as a pdf.
Got one of those Kindle things? Or a Kindle app on your tablet?
Click here in the appropriate way to download it and stick it in your device.
If, like me, you have a Sony Reader or a Nook or a Kobo or some related app on your tablet,
here's the epub file.
I'd love to know what you think, especially if you happen to be a publisher,
an agent or a rich widow who wants to support a starving artist.

Lots of love from Dai
Notes from the readingthrough...
(ignoring minor layout corrections)
In chapter 7 the backwards B (in the Cornish Toyshop, Toys 'B' We) doesn't render in e-form — it does now!
Fonts embedded, but this may not do anything on Kindles.
The text balloons in chapter 14 didn't work there either, but the L/R justifying of the text is enough for now.
Proofreading done, so let me know any errors you find, 'cos I've missed them. (4/1/17)
