This site last fiddled with: 22/1/12, Enough of this poetry! Inspired by the writings of a real poet, I've started work on a painting (bear with me...) I seem to have sold a few drawings lately, so after sprucing up and adding a few new ones to the drawings page, I've been inspired to slash crudely at a canvas in what might just pass for the late style of Jack Butler Yeats (qg) to evoke a line of the pome The Stolen Child by his brother William. To the Waters and the Wild ![]() Come away, O human child To the waters and the wild With a faery, hand in hand, For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand. (ain't it the truth?) Still tweeting what i'm eating. By popular request I've added a page of recipes And as I do eat out more than I can afford, on the same page I'm also reviewing what I'm chewing. Your chance to cook and eat along! Recent additions include a friendly kakapo and Heston Blumincheek's recipe for fish finger butties! Still hacking at the second copy of the chess set, ![]() The Cappuccino Project still stuck in 2011 ~ Phoebe of Loudons on Fountainbridge was the only addition last year though I could swear I took more; maybe I need to add a few here. Found a great new quote/title for a sequel: Chasing the Frothy Bubbles from The Stolen Child by WBYeats. "To and fro we leap And chase the frothy bubbles While the world is full of troubles And anxious in its sleep."
